Standard System - Flexible flue, in the chimney

Some may be able to use an existing Chimney of the house installing a flexible twin walled 316L stainless steel type of System.

We call this a “simple standard system,” where the fire is situated into a fireplace, its set backwards so that the chimney is vertically above the fire. The fire is flued directly off the top of the log burner with solid sections of powder coated black 316L stainless steel which will match in with the fire itself. Depending on the height of the fireplace, would depend on how many solid sections there are. We would fit a metal framework in the throat of the chimney where a register plate would be installed. This would consist of a Rockwool 40mm thermal registration plate with a reflective foil cover to reflect the heat back into the room. The board being of a 40mm thermal construction specific for the job; it would help to stop the heat rising up the chimney cavity and stop dirt or debris from falling onto the fire itself and keeping out drafts. As the solid sections pass through the register plate they would terminate into a special connector which allows us to change into the twin walled 316L stainless steel flexible flue, this continues the full length of the chimney cavity and exits the top of the chimney, we would install some sort of capping method to close off the chimney itself, usually a concrete slab cemented into place with an exact hole cut into it for the flue to pass through. This is also cemented into place so as to prevent rain ingress and debris falling down the chimney. It would be finished with a 316L high-grade stainless-steel bird resistant down draft chapeau.

This install has a no quibble two-year guarantee on all parts and installation, and the stainless-steel materials come with a ten year manufacturers warranty.
